FAQ ABOUT DENTAL SERVICES
What if I am afraid of dental treatment? Can you put me to sleep?
Nitrous oxide sedation can be used for almost any procedure when necessary. It does not put you to sleep but instead provides you with a positive, relaxing dental experience. Our surgery department is qualified and equipped to use general intravenous anesthesia for implant surgery, tooth extractions, and other oral surgical procedures.
What do I need to bring to my first appointment?
In the first visit, you will need your insurance card, photo ID, list of any medication you are taking, and your medical doctor’s contact information. You will be asked to fill a patient registration form and a dental and medical history form.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
The first appointment is only an examination involving an evaluation of your teeth, gums, and mouth. Dental treatment is not given during this visit; also, X-rays may need to be provided. During the second treatment is where treatment planning will be done. Our dentist will review your exams and X-ray findings and then discuss how your dental needs can be met. Our staff will also review the risks and benefits of the treatment provided, and you will be asked to sign a consent form agreeing on the treatment planned. The next visit is when you will start your dental treatment.
It is important to note that if you are experiencing pain at your examination, you will be seen as an emergency patient. This ensures that immediate dental need is provided and that you will be scheduled for another visit for a complete oral examination.
